Consider which Sheffield United players could be suitable for your FPL team this season.

As well as budget choices, our scout is investigating all possible selections from each squad in the 2020-21 Fantasy Premier League.

Sheffield United FPL players

Let’s take a closer look at Sheffield United’s FPL team and make some recommendations.

🥅 Goalkeepers

Aaron Ramsdale has joined from Bournemouth to replace Dean Henderson and could be a great shout at £5m, but there are questions.

Notably the following: can Sheffield United maintain their defensive solidity without Henderson? And how much will ‘2nd season syndrome’ be a factor?

If you want one of the Blades’ defensive assets at that price, it might be better to get one who also has the potential for attacking returns.

Someone like…

👬 Defenders

John Egan – he ended last season among the goals, and poses enough of a threat at set pieces that there’s no reason it can’t continue.

With his attacking full-back team-mates priced at £5.5m apiece, Egan looks a safer pick until there’s a clearer picture of how Sheffield Utd will fare this year.

🏃 Midfielders

As a £5.5m mid not guaranteed a starting spot, it’s safe to say John Lundstram is no longer worthy of your consideration.

John Fleck looks the best choice here, but for £6m you can do better elsewhere.

Keep an eye on the form of £5m Sander Berge, whose goal and assist in the 3-1 win over Spurs showed some potential.

🥳 Forwards

An array of £6m options here, and to be honest we wouldn’t seriously consider any of them.
