Consider which Leeds United players could be suitable for your FPL team this season.

As well as budget choices, our scout is investigating all possible selections from each squad in the 2020-21 Fantasy Premier League.

Leeds FPL players

Let’s take a closer look at Leeds’s FPL team and make some recommendations.

🥅 Goalkeepers

Illan Meslier could turn out to be the best £4.5m option if Leeds even come close to replicating their defensive record in last season’s Championship.

Sheffield United did this with outstanding success last time around, so there’s certainly a recent precedent.

Problem is, it’s not yet clear whether he’ll lose his place to Kiko Casilla, so it’s probably safest to avoid for now.

👬 Defenders

There’s been a lot of talk about £4.5m duo Stuart Dallas and Luke Ayling as attacking full-backs.

They each racked up decent, if not mind-blowing, goals/assists records in the Championship last year, similar to Matt Doherty prior to Wolves’s promotion.

Suffice it to say, if they can replicate his success they could be real bargains, but this is far from a given.

On balance we prefer the look of Dallas out of the two because he sometimes plays on the wing, whereas Ayling occasionally shifts to centre-back as part of a back three.

🏃 Midfielders

£5.5m Mateusz Klich is first-choice penalty taker, but as things stand we prefer Stuart Armstrong or Allan Saint-Maximin at that price.

Jack Harrison also has potential at that price and is certainly one to watch, but we wouldn’t start with him.

£6m Pablo Hernández is a fine talent but, at 35 years old, his game time is not guaranteed.

🥳 Forwards

Patrick Bamford could surprise people at £5.5m, but despite a respectable goals tally in the last campaign he was still wasteful.

Marcelo Bielsa may yet try to replace him.
