What information we collect
When we run competitions on our social media channels, we will collect the usernames of all entrants.
If you submit a message via our contact form, your IP address, user agent, name (if provided), email address (if provided), website (if provided) and message may be submitted to the Akismet service (owned by Automattic) for the sole purpose of spam checking. The actual submission data is stored in the Football Burp database and is emailed directly to us. This email will include the submitter’s IP address, timestamp, name (if provided), email address (if provided), website (if provided), and message.
If you email Football Burp then all data associated with that email will be collected and stored by Google’s Gmail service.
We do not collect any data from third parties or process any sensitive personal data.
This website uses Google Analytics to collect and analyse anonymous traffic statistics.

The comment system on this site is operated by Disqus.
We sometimes promote content on Facebook.
We may use information that you have already provided us with, such as your email addresses or phone numbers, first and last name, city, state, postal code and gender to match website visitors to people who are on Facebook.
We collect information about visitors who comment on Sites that use our Akismet anti-spam service.
The information we collect depends on how the User sets up Akismet for the Site, but typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).
All searches performed using the internal site search are logged in the database, including the following information: the search query, the number of hits found, user ID for users who are logged in, date and time and the IP address. The IP address is stored for security and auditing purposes.
The search logs are stored for 90 days before they are automatically removed.

How we use personal information
The usernames of entrants to any competitions will only be used for the purposes of drawing a winner. The winner will be contacted via a private message on the relevant platform and these messages may be stored by its provider (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.). A list of all entrants and the winner will be kept for reference may influence future marketing decisions.
Any information provided either by email or via a contact form will solely be used for the purposes of responding to you.
Post and post meta data associated with a contact form submission will be synced with Automattic’s servers, as well as the IP address and user agent if Akismet is enabled.
Google Analytics data is for internal research purposes and may influence future business decisions.
Disqus comments enhance the user’s experience of the website and may also influence future marketing decisions.
What legal basis we have for processing your personal data
If you get in touch with us directly, either by entering a competition, emailing us or using the contact form, you are providing consent for us to use the personal information provided with that contact.
