A Tampico Madero player fell down a trench beside the pitch during their game against Leones Negros.

Home side Tampico Madero beat Leones Negros 3-2 in Mexico’s Liga de Expansión MX at Estadio Tamaulipas on Wednesday night.

Tackled near the sidelines, Eduardo Pérez Reyes stumbled and fell down a large hole separating the stand from the pitch.

The 28-year-old forward disappeared down into it before struggling to get out.
