Belying his stylish appearance, the World Cup winning manager is firmly established as one of football’s more disgusting figures in terms of touchline habits – he has in the past been caught on camera sniffing his armpit as well as picking his nose and then eating the booger.

Come to think of it, he probably should have given the old pits a sniff this time as well:

As Joachim Löw sticks his hand down his trousers then sniffs it, we can’t be certain that he is indeed getting a whiff of his own nether regions, but it certainly looks like it.

On the pitch, a classically functional German side ensured a winning start to this summer’s European Championships thanks to goals apiece from Shkodran Mustafi and Bastian Schweinsteiger.

But Löw will steal the show if he continues to up his game in terms of grossing everyone out.
