A Cameroon women’s player could be seen pushing the referee out of her way in a quite forceful manner during their controversial round of 16 match against England on Sunday.

Phil Neville’s England progress in the tournament after a 3-0 win at Stade du Hainaut in Valenciennes with a little help from a series of VAR calls which angered the Cameroonians.

In a bad-tempered game, Cameroon number ten Jeannette Grace Ngock Yango was noticed by viewers at home shoving Chinese ref Qin Liang from behind, catching the official unawares.

Already three goals down, Yango pushed the referee aside in a futile attempt to get to English midfielder Fran Kirby midway through the second half.
