Cameroon’s Gabrielle Onguéné threw away a water bottle offered to her by a Netherlands substitute during Saturday’s Women’s World Cup match in Valenciennes.
The Dutch made it two wins out of two in Group E with a 3-1 victory at the Stade du Hainaut, with Arsenal’s Vivianne Miedema scoring twice to become their record scorer.

During a break in play in the game, Holland sub Merel van Dongen came up to Onguéné – who bagged her side’s only goal on the day – and appeared to offer her a drink of water.
However, the CSKA Moscow attacker hurled the bottle away, catching her non-playing opponent with a jet of liquid in the process.
The incident did not escape the notice of the Netherlands support, who booed Onguéné from that point onward.
A touching tribute.
