Zenit Saint Petersburg defender Branislav Ivanović cowered away from a flare during celebrations following his team’s Russian Premier League title win.
Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Akhmat Grozny proved enough to clinch top spot with three games to spare as 2nd placed Lokomotiv Moscow later lost to Arsenal Tula.
The Zenit squad learned of the decisive result while on a plane flying back to Saint Petersburg, where they then celebrated with supporters.
During the revelry, a number of flares were set off – much to the discomfort of former Chelsea man Ivanović.
