Brought to you by The Good Child Foundation, the Thai Tims “learn English through singing Celtic songs and we are helping children with Down syndrome receive a mainstream education in rural Thailand”.

Recently it appears they’ve been branching out, singing songs about other football teams.

Here they are, still in full Celtic regalia, chronicling the career of football superstar Lionel Messi to the tune of the Kenny Rogers hit The Gambler, with great lyrics and accompanying gestures.

The Good Child Foundation in Thailand has challenged traditional thoughts on inclusive education in an area of rural Thailand by offering placements to children of all ages and abilities, including pupils with Downs Syndrome at its school in the Chanthaburi province of Thailand.

For children who have previously been excluded from a school environment and an education, the benefits are immeasurable. The school supports children through peer support and social inclusion eliminating the barriers and stigma attached to disability.

In April this year the Thai Tims visited Celtic Park, meeting with the players and manager before providing a guard of honour at a home game and performing at half-time.
