One Spain mascot made a run for it the moment his side’s anthem finished before the 2-3 defeat to England in the UEFA Nations League on Monday night.

Precisely where he had to get to is open to speculation, but he certainly made no hesitation in making a bolt for it as soon as “Marcha Real” drew to a close.

Two goals from Raheem Sterling and another from Marcus Rashford gave Gareth Southgate’s men a 3-0 half-time lead at the Estadio Benito Villamarín in Seville.

Although Paco Alcácer and Sergio Ramos scored for the hosts in the second half, it wasn’t enough to prevent England from winning in Spain for the first time in 31 years.
