A Salford City fan swore at camera just as Gary Neville praised the “family spirit around the ground” during Tuesday night’s 0-3 defeat to Leeds United.

Commentating on the League Cup first round match at Moor Lane, former Man Utd and England defender Neville made the comment after one supporter could be seen raising a middle finger.

I’m not saying some of them are more invested than others, but I’m not sure Scholes or Butt could name the starting eleven, while Gary Neville could tell you each of their star signs and blood types #Salford

Graham Alexander’s League Two side bowed out of the competition at the first hurdle, with Eddie Nketiah, Gaetano Berardi and Mateusz Klich scoring for Leeds.

Neville bought Salford City in 2014 along with former Red Devils team-mates Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and his brother Phil.
