Moscow Correspondent for BBC News, Steve Rosenberg has created a version of the Match of the Day theme song that he plays on the piano “in the style of the Russian classics” in this clip.

The respected reporter demonstrated his piano skills in the short video uploaded to Twitter.

Only his hands can be seen as they dance across the keyboard to play the tune that has been widely praised on social media for bringing a bit of culture to football fans at Christmas.

Rosenberg said he’s chosen to release the video now as a highlight of the year coming to a close was the World Cup in Russia in the summer.
