Goa’s Edu Bedia appeared to bite Deepak Tangri of Chennaiyin as the two sides played out a 2-2 draw in the Indian Super League on Saturday.

The Spanish midfielder became entangled on the turf with his opponent at the GMC Stadium, at which he seems to take a chomp of his waist.

Tangri then reels away onto his back with an expression of anguish as he lifts his matchday shirt to check for telltale teeth marks.

Edu took to Instagram to issue a statement denying that he had bitten Tangri, saying he “knows what really happened” and even tagging him into the post.
