A group of Partizan Belgrade fans threw snowballs at an assistant referee during their side’s 0-0 draw with Mačva Šabac in the Serbian SuperLiga.
When the ball went out of play going into the 85th minute, the supporters gathered at the front of the stand and pelted the unfortunate official.
Such was the bombardment that the referee stopped play and came over to the side of the pitch to try and defuse the situation.
Friday’s game arguably shouldn’t have gone ahead at all, with a blanket of snow covering the pitch.

Despite having left-back Slobodan Urošević sent off on 45 minutes, Partizan held on for a goalless draw to consolidate 3rd place in the table.
Coming away from the Partizan Stadium with a point leaves Mačva Šabac 10th out of 16 teams, seven points clear of the relegation zone.
