Red Star Belgrade fans sang “f**k you Neymar, f**k you Cavani, f**k you Mbappé, f**k you PSG” at their Champions League Group C match on Tuesday.
If the chanting was intended as an intimidation tactic, it didn’t work – each of Neymar, Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappé went on to score in a 4-1 win for the French side.
Brazilian defender Marquinhos was the other scorer for Paris Saint-Germain, with Marko Gobeljić getting Red Star’s goal.
The comprehensive victory at the Red Star Stadium ensured Thomas Tuchel’s side finished top of the group, two points ahead of fellow qualifiers Liverpool.
They are also runaway leaders in Ligue 1, thirteen points ahead of Lille with the season not even at its halfway point.
Their unbeaten record remains intact, with fourteen wins and two draws from their first sixteen games.
For their part, Red Star top the Serbian SuperLiga by nine points and are also yet to taste defeat, with eighteen wins in twenty games.
