VIDEO: Godzilla takes a penalty before match in Japan

Pre-match entertainment featured dismal attempt from giant monster.

Watch as Godzilla takes a penalty as part of the pre-match entertainment ahead of Kawasaki Frontale’s J1 League clash with FC Tokyo on Saturday.

Promoting their new film, the extravagant outfit took to the field alongside a co-star at the Todoroki Athletics Stadium for a penalty shootout.

The highlight of which was the giant monster’s dismal attempt which saw it miss the ball completely with a swish of its tail, causing it anger.

The human eventually takes over and the cartoonish goalkeeper, in the form of the home side’s mascot, just about manages to squeeze out of the way of his shot before it lands in the back of the net.

The scorer runs off celebrating while the creature is seemingly consoled and helped off the pitch.
