Panama players tried to score from a quick kick-off while their England counterparts were still celebrating Harry Kane’s penalty.
Kane was mobbed by his Three Lions team-mates after converting the spot kick for a 2-0 lead in a game England went on to win 6-1.
All the while, Panama rushed to the centre circle, kicked off and then bore down on Jordan Pickford’s goal before the referee stopped them in their tracks.
Defender John Stones was the unlikely scorer of two goals, with Kane’s hat-trick and a Jesse Lingard screamer completing the scoring.
England are now guaranteed a place in the last 16 and can top their group by beating Belgium on Thursday.
