Watch the moment a distinctly overexcited Mamadou Sakho bumps into Blaise Matuidi, his fellow French international and former PSG team mate, while out motorbiking in Paris.
The Liverpool defender’s questionable wisdom in riding a motorbike notwithstanding, it’s heartening to witness the mutual delight evident in the pair’s chance meeting – that is, once Matuidi’s initial confusion has subsided.
Sakho, who recorded and posted the clip himself, can be heard saying “Paris c’est petit” (“Paris is small”) before pulling over alongside Matuidi, whose attention he commands by yelling “mon gars soin!”, which roughly translates as “my man!”.
Finishing with a shot of his own beaming face, Sakho shows a sense of fun that was also evident in this recent clip of him responding in a Scouse accent to a birthday greeting from Reds team mate Jon Flanagan:
Next time Mamadou Sakho bumps into Blaise Matuidi, it would be nice to have a bit of Scouse thrown in for good measure.
