See the Minnesota United own goal, scored by the American side’s goalkeeper for Bournemouth, as he bizarrely contrives to throws the ball into the net behind him.
Premier League survivors Bournemouth travelled to the mid-western state for a pre-season friendly on Sunday and emerged victorious with a 0-4 win.
But the major talking point was Cameroonian goalie Sammy Ndjock’s calamitous error.
With the ball seemingly safe and secure in Ndjock’s hands, the goalkeeper moved as if to launch it towards one of his team-mates.
Somehow, however, he manages to throw it almost directly behind him and is forced to watch as the ball trickles into the net, despite desperate attempts to prevent it from crossing the line.
