VIDEO: Feyenoord fan throws ball on pitch as PSV attack against them

Chance of late equaliser is gone when play is stopped.

Play was stopped in Feyenoord’s 2-1 win over PSV on Sunday when a ball was thrown onto the pitch from the stands, stopping the visitors as they sought a late equaliser.

The referee was forced to bring a halt to the Eredivisie clash as two balls bounced around the penalty box in front of the home fans at De Kuip in Rotterdam.

Despite ferocious protests from the PSV Eindhoven players, the chance was gone when the game had to be restarted in the 75th minute.

Feyenoord were able to hold onto their lead for the remainder of the match and their opponents were left just two points clear at the top of the table after an excellent start to the season.
