A fan raced Mario Kart figurines carrying miniature national flags on a treadmill in order to predict the winners of Euro 2020.

Providing a full clip of the race with commentary, the beloved video game characters compete to stay on the inclined running machine while carrying the flags of the remaining 16 teams.

Sweden and Switzerland are the first to hurtle off back of the belt, followed by a cluster of others as the pack narrows towards a final winner.

Ultimately it comes down to a winner-takes-all battle between Red Yoshi’s Germany and Luigi’s France, with the latter emerging triumphant.
