Everton fans in the away end at Tottenham Hotspur waved a Manchester City flag and sang their club anthem “Blue Moon” in support of Liverpool’s title rivals.
Marco Silva’s Toffees ended the season in 8th place following a 2-2 final day draw at Spurs, but events elsewhere were of more importance.

With Man City 2-1 up at Brighton during the half-time interval, travelling Evertonians voiced their backing for Pep Guardiola’s side at Liverpool’s expense.
As City raced into a 4-1 lead in a game they just needed to win to be crowned Premier League champions, Everton supporters began celebrating in earnest.

They aired an erstwhile terrace chant for Mikel Arteta, a popular player during his stint at Everton and now Guardiola’s assistant at City.
And they also chanted “you lost the league at Goodison Park” in reference to their 0-0 Merseyside derby draw with Jürgen Klopp’s Reds in March.
