Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp confronted a ball boy after a 0-0 draw at Everton, accusing the youngster of clapping him sarcastically as they dropped more points in the title race.

Marco Silva’s Everton held their close rivals to a goalless draw at Goodison Park on Sunday.

But, as the players and staff departed the field following the final whistle, it was the Liverpool manager who spotted one of the ball boys clapping.

Apparently deeming the pitch-side helper to be applauding ‘sarcastically’, Klopp walked over to where a group of them were gathered.

Klopp: "You think it's Playstation… bring on another attacker…"

"Football doesn't work like that… 9 games to go…"

There then proceeded to be a short exchange between the pair, while the boy continued to clap, before the German coach finally went down the tunnel.

Liverpool now trail league leader Manchester City by one point with nine games left to play.
