Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp said the wind was to blame for his side not being able to overcome Everton in the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park on Sunday evening.

Klopp had his excuses ready in a post-match interview following Liverpool’s 0-0 draw at Everton as they failed to regain the Premier League top spot.

"People don't like it when I say this, but the wind came from all directions. It didn't help."

He told the interviewer that “the wind came from different directions” and this made it difficult for the team to play their football.
