Fortunately emerges unscathed.

One England fan was thrown off the bonnet of a car trying to drive through jubilant scenes in Plymouth following the last-gasp 2-1 World Cup win over Tunisia.

In a video filmed on the city’s Union Street, supporters who had been watching the game in a Walkabout bar spilled onto the road in celebration of Harry Kane’s stoppage time winner.

They good-naturedly mobbed a car trying to pass through, with one man clambering aboard the bonnet – only for the car to speed away.

It then breaks suddenly, sending the man flying off onto the road, but fortunately he is reported to have emerged unscathed.

Max Channon of Plymouth Live was a witness to the scene and said:

It was extraordinary. I was just relieved to see the man get to back his feet so quickly. My heart really was in my mouth for a few seconds, as his head could so easily have smashed into the road.

Adding:

It really was a incredible sight – and you can’t help but wonder what sort of scenes we’ll see in Plymouth in England lift the World Cup.
