The commentator was astounded when Gambia’s Dawda Ngum missed his penalty in the shootout to decide an Africa Cup of Nations qualification tie with Djibouti.
Gambia beat Djibouti 3-2 on penalties following a 2-2 draw on aggregate after a 1-1 draw in the second leg of an Africa Cup of Nations preliminary round qualifier at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Sunday.
When Dawda Ngum, who plays in Denmark’s second tier with Roskilde, had his attempt saved, the commentator relaying the match for viewers at home seemed shocked.
The broadcaster repeated how he just could not understand how the 29-year-old Gambia international managed to miss the penalty against Djibouti.
