Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi could be seen on the television coverage of their 1-1 draw at Brighton on Boxing Day, seemingly asking his teammate Granit Xhaka what formation the team were playing in.

Unai Emery’s side struggled to cope with a hearty performance from the seasiders and were fortunate not to lose the festive Premier League clash at the Amex on Wednesday.

Mesut Özil was brought off at half-time, to be replaced by the 22-year-old substitute.

But when the teams emerged following the break, Iwobi didn’t seem too sure of what was going on.

Keen to confirm his role in the game, the Nigerian international midfielder was noticed asking his colleague what formation Arsenal were playing at the start of the second half.
