Alfredo Morelos threw a ball of tape at James Tavernier’s head in the stands at Ibrox as Rangers beat Cove Rangers 4-0 in the Scottish Cup 3rd round on Saturday.

He can even claim a two-for-one as it rebounded off the team captain and hit Kemar Roofe, scorer of two goals on the day, who was sitting next to him.

Tavernier did not even have to turn around to know who was responsible for the prank, and he wagged his finger disapprovingly.

Jermain Defoe and Nathan Patterson were also on target as Steven Gerrard’s men put the Scottish League One side to the sword.
