One for the conspiracy theorists, see the Wayne Rooney lookalike Chelsea steward with a moustache and beard – spotted near the dugouts during the Premier League clash with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Currently sidelined with a groin injury, Rooney has apparently been working hard in a bid to be fit for the Capital One Cup semi-final second leg against Sunderland at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
The star reportedly went through two intensive training sessions on Monday, while the rest of the squad took on their usual recovery work following the 3-1 loss to Chelsea this weekend.
There’s no mention of what he was doing on Sunday though. Did an incognito Wayne Rooney manage to sneak down onto the touchline for the most eagerly anticipated match of the day?
Or have Chelsea simply employed a humorous Rooney doppelgänger to help marshal the crowd and their ever increasing Mourinho-inspired title hopes?
You decide!
It turns out the man has been spotted before though.
