Black completes holy trinity of Irish League wondergoals

Coleraine...a different match (Image credit: deargdoom57)

In case you haven’t seen it yet, Coleraine left-back Johnny Black came over all Luis Figueroa (stop giggling at the back and pay close attention to the sentence structure) with this 18th-minute screamer/stunner/wondergoal against Portadown on Saturday…

Not bad, eh? Especially as it comes so quickly (okay, you’re on your final warning now) in the wake of fellow full-back Pat Sullivan’s screamer/stunner/piledriver against Partizan Belgrade, a deed which shall see he and his Shamrock Rovers teammates take on Tottenham Hotspur – against all odds, we might add – in the forthcoming Europa League group stage…

And how could we forget this last-minute winner over Portadown – oh, Portadown – scored by Glentoran’s Mattie Burrows in October 2010, a screamer/stunner/wondergoal which made the shortlist for the Fifa World Goal of the Year award…

Keep ‘em coming, Irish League players!
