As the mooted successor to Edwin van der Sar, young Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is currently operating under enough scrutiny as it is without his teammates dragging him down with them into the undesirable realms of YouTube laughing stock-dom.

Having performed solidly enough during the Red Devils’ 8-2 win over Arsenal last week, the 20-year-old was again largely a spectator as his Spain U21 side won 7-2 at their counterparts from Georgia last Thursday – indeed, they were already 6-0 up by the time Real Sociedad defender Iñigo Martínez executed the following, stunning long-distance backheel over his own goalkeeper…
