Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement to play home games at Wembley next season as part of Comic Relief.
Doing their bit for Red Nose Day, the north London giants committed to staging fixtures at a ground they’ve failed on repeatedly in recent years.
Speaking exclusively to Football Burp, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy explained he was only too happy for his club to do their bit for the charity fundraiser.
He said: “Laughter is the best medicine, of course, so I’m delighted to announce we will be playing home games at Wembley next season.
“Sure we’ll all have to wait a few months for the comedy to begin in earnest, but the anticipation of all that chortling should be enough to tide fans of other clubs over for now.
“Just think how funny it will be when we get knocked out of the Champions League by BATE Borisov.
“Way funnier than anything James Corden can come up with, I assure you.”
