Liverpool have scraped a demoralising 5-2 win over Roma in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.

Jürgen Klopp’s side were left with their heads in their hands after squandering a five-goal lead to leave their hopes of reaching the final in relative tatters.

The turning point appeared to be the substitution of Mohamed Salah, who up to that point had been Roadrunnering Roma’s defenders into a worse state of ruin than the Acqua Marcia.

Speaking exclusively to Football Burp, Ste, a Liverpool fan from Liverpool, declared himself embarrassed and ashamed at what he’d just seen.

He said: “I’m embarrassed and ashamed at what I’ve just seen.

“To win 5-2 in the semi-finals of the Champions League, it’s shocking really.”
