Alan Pardew has issued a rousing come-and-get-me plea to West Ham and Crystal Palace while speaking to Football Burp at a hotel in Norwich.

The erstwhile Hammers and Eagles boss has been staying at the East Anglia travel lodge in anticipation of the Norwich City job becoming available.

But with Slaven Bilić and Frank de Boer looking decidedly less than clever in their jobs right now, Pardew has spied a Premier League opportunity to bounce back.

Talking after a launch party for his autobiography Shut Your Noise, You Old C***, Pardew declared himself ready for another honeymoon period.

He said: “I usually smash it in the first few months, but the two years of abject s*** that tend to follow I wouldn’t mind being in London for.

“I moved into the Linton Travel Lodge because I just had this hunch about Norwich. It seems like the kind of place I’d unceremoniously resurface.

“But I’ve fallen out with the staff quite a lot here and could probably do with leaving town altogether.

“It started with me dressing up as a zombie and head-butting one of the desk dollies, and it was all downhill from there.”
