“Leicester can’t win title,” says pundit who said they’d go down

"They could still go down if they lose all their remaining games and get deducted a few points."

Leicester City are fundamentally ill-equipped to win the Premier League title, according to a pundit who tipped them for relegation back in August.

The pundit, outspoken, outlined the Foxes’ lack of credentials with a degree of certainty that belied the fact he predicted they’d finish in a position they’re probably already mathematically clear of.

Claudio Ranieri’s side moved two points clear at the top of the table with Monday night’s 2-1 win over struggling Chelsea, a sentence that’s still being scanned for accuracy by people who can’t quite believe what appears to have been happening of late.

Speaking exclusively to Football Burp, however, the outspoken pundit poured scorn on any suggestion that Leicester could be champions come May.

He outspoke: “It’s a ridiculous notion.

“I mean, Leicester as title winners? You might as well back Jeremy Corbyn for the next General Election.

“He’s completely unelectable, as evidenced by his huge majority and Labour’s victory in the Oldham by-election, and Leicester are similarly hopeless.

“It’s easy to overlook the fact that they could still go down if they lose all their remaining games and get deducted a few points for doing something untoward, like not turning up to a match or fielding an ineligible player.

“Just remember what I said when it only goes and actually happens.”
