Manchester City starlet Benjamin Mendy-Peters has declared himself ready to deputise for the injured Benjamin Mendy.

City paid Monaco a world record £52m for the left-back during the summer but he now faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after getting his knee all smashed up.

Fortunately for Pep Guardiola’s in-form side, Academy left-back Benjamin Mendy-Peters is confident he can fill the void.

He said: “I’m confident I can fill the void.

“You look at what the likes of Kyle Walker-Peters and Danny Rose-Peters are doing at Spurs, and it just goes to show what you can achieve.

“Obviously it’s not gone quite as well for Séamus Coleman-Peters at Everton but then it’s a funny old game.”
