Kanye West sensationally interrupted Harry Kane’s hat-trick against APOEL Nicosia to trumpet the virtues of Gareth Bale’s treble against Inter Milan.

The hip-hop star, outspoken, shocked onlookers as he took to the pitch in Cyprus just moments after the striker gave Spurs a 3-0 lead.

Kane is now the competition’s top scorer with five goals from two games, but not everyone was inclined to celebrate on his behalf.

Speaking through a microphone that wasn’t even plugged in, Kanye applauded Kane’s achievement but indicated his preference for a previous Tottenham three-goal salvo.

He said: “Yo Harry, I’m really happy for you, Imma let you finish, but Gareth Bale scored one of the best Champions League hat-tricks of all time.

“One of the best Champions League hat-tricks of all time! He left Maicon traumatised, dawg, he sent him back to school.

“Remember, ‘Kane’ is just ‘Kanye’ without the Y. Huh? Yeah, you have a think about that.

“Now if you don’t mind, I have a table reserved at a French-ass restaurant. Ta ta.”
