
An audio clip has split the internet into two rival factions – those who hear “Moyes” and those who hear “Allardyce”.
The Moyes v Allardyce debate has taken social media by storm, quickly becoming 2018’s answer to the visual conundrum “Phil Jagielka or Michael Dawson?”.
In the last 24 hours, “Moyes” has been mentioned more than 310,000 times – but the Allardyces are currently edging it with closer to 330,000 uses of the word.
Ste, an Everton fan from Liverpool, said: “I can’t understand how anyone is hearing ‘Allardyce’ from that.
“It quite clearly says ‘Moyes’.”
Barry, a West Ham fan from London, said: “I can’t understand how anyone is hearing ‘Moyes’ from that.
“It quite clearly says ‘Allardyce’.”
