Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris has been charged with drink-driving after reportedly being stopped by police in west London.
The 31-year-old goalkeeper was apparently caught by a routine patrol in Gloucester Place close to 2.20am on Friday morning.
He is said to have been taken to Charing Cross Police Station after failing a roadside breathalyser test and spent about seven hours in custody prior to being charged and released on bail.
The Metropolitan Police say the France international is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on September 11th.
Meanwhile Spurs are set to face Manchester United on Monday.
