New signing Rob Green was the hero for Chelsea after making a save in the penalty shootout that followed their 0-0 draw with Lyon in the International Champions Cup on Tuesday night.
There is a goalkeeping crisis at Stamford Bridge after number one Thibaut Courtois failed to report for training amid reports he’s trying to force a move to Real Madrid.
Chelsea are now said to be in talks to sign Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga for £71m.
39-year-old Rob Green’s recent arrival at the club was derided but the former England international helped the home side to a 5-4 win on penalties when the teams could not separated after 90 minutes.
