José Mourinho’s Manchester United side lost 3-1 at Anfield on Sunday evening, a result that put Liverpool back at the top of the table while Manchester United linger in 6th place – 8 points behind Arsenal in 5th.

Huge spending in the summer has failed to produce results on the pitch with United having now conceded more goals in the Premier League this season than they did in the entirety of 2017-18.

£89m-signing Paul Pogba sat on the bench for the whole game as an unused substitute.

Some sections of the fanbase have been criticising the manager and appear dubious as to whether the side can progress with the Portuguese remaining at the helm.

Liverpool look confused with how utterly shite we are. Incredible strategy, so much for Mourinho being past it.
