Mauricio Pochettino was sacked as manager of Tottenham after a string of poor results left them fourteenth in the Premier League table.
Pochettino left the club on Tuesday after five years in charge with chairman Daniel Levy blaming “extremely disappointing” results.

The 47-year-old guided Spurs to a Champions League final against Liverpool last season but had made a poor start to the current campaign.
These were the best Mauricio Pochettino sacked jokes and tweets after his dismissal by Tottenham Hotspur:
Pochettino's biggest regret will be talking about leaving the club in the build up to the CL Final. Was such a dumb thing to do.

To me, Poch will always primarily be the manager who pretended he couldn’t speak English until he left Saints. #SaintsFC

Can't wait to see the look on Poch's face when Mourinho is instantly granted the massive transfer budget he was always denied by Levy.

I think if Poch is truly gone then there’s only one place I want him at.

Arsenal should immediately sack Emery, hire Pochettino and launch the greatest revenge mission in football history
— Sachin Nakrani (@SachinNakrani) November 19, 2019
This is particularly true right now of Pochettino but it's true in all sports: If the guy you fired immediately becomes the top candidate for every available or near-available job, you probably should have kept him.

Tottenham have sacked their head coach #Pochettino. Means a lot of things, Ole is not safe at United, Valverde is not safe at Barca but Unai will always be safe at Arsenal pic.twitter.com/HU8iFU0qiG
