Crystal Palace have sacked Frank de Boer after just four games in charge and are now set to appoint Roy Hodgson as their new manager – and these are the best jokes.
Following de Boer’s arrival at the club during the summer break, Palace lost all four of their opening fixtures, failing to score a single goal.
The 70-year-old former England boss is due to take the helm of the Premier League side having not held a coaching role since the country’s humiliating exit from Euro 2016.

To give FdB a squad assembled by Warnock, Pulis, Pardew and Big Sam, and think he will make a Barca 2.0 of them in 4 games. My condolences.

Crystal Palace hire Frank de Boer because they "need an evolution over a period of time."

Frank de Boer:
85 days at Inter Milan.
77 days at Crystal Palace.
My bathroom needs doing, reckon he could finish it in fewer than 65?

Roy Hodgson is 112 years old. He's managed in 64 countries. Yet people will still insist he's a terrible manager based on 2 spells.

Spare a thought for Frank De Boer's removal men, who'll be arriving in London with all his stuff any day now.

How could the Palace board possibly think that 77 days & 4 games was sufficient time for Frank de Boer to instil his tactics into a new team https://t.co/Tqb1jr8AsD

Good move for Palace IMO. She's a strong and stable coach https://t.co/7ypfG95L3h
