Arsenal players Mesut Özil and Sead Kolašinac escaped a frightening carjacking attempt in London after confronting their attackers.

In a video shared on social media, Kolašinac can be seen fighting off the gang in Platts Lane, near Golders Green, reportedly at around 5pm on Thursday evening.

The 26-year-old left back appears to get out of the vehicle as the assailants on mopeds brandish knives, before Özil drives off.

The pair were later pictured speaking to police and the club confirmed that both were unharmed following the incident.
