Zimbabwe coach Zdravko Logarušić has accused African Nations Championship hosts Cameroon of witchcraft after a dead bat was found on the pitch at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo.

The two sides got their tournament campaigns underway in Saturday’s Group A match, which Cameroon won 1-0 with a 72nd minute goal from Salomon Charles Banga.

But Zimbabwe’s Croatian coach was not happy with the appearance of the deceased mammal on the pitch, which he saw as evidence of supernatural tampering.

He posted for a photograph alongside it while showing a sign to camera that read ‘witchcraft in Cameroon’.
