The Twitter account of Cheshire League team Whalley Range AFC accidentally announced that one of Wythenshawe Amateurs’ players had been “sin bummed”.

In what was an eye-catching autocorrect mishap, the social media admin had meant to say that their opponent had been sin-binned for ten minutes of the game.

It was the Manchester club’s final match for at least a month due to lockdown measures coming in today, and they won 3-2 away to Wythenshawe’s reserve side at Hollyhedge Park on Wednesday.

The mistake was acknowledged in good humour and remains un-deleted at the time of writing.
