Watch Aston Villa’s new Ron Vlaar documentary, At home with Ron Vlaar – that sees club staff travel to the Dutch defender’s childhood home town of Hensbroek to meet his family and first football coach.

Vlaar is at the height of his playing powers, proving his worth with several top drawer performances for Louis van Gaal’s Netherlands side at the World Cup in Brazil this summer.

It is this relationship that has led to speculation over a possible move to van Gaal’s rebuilding project at Manchester United.

In this lengthy feature, the intrepid Aston Villa TV explorers travel to the village of Hensbroek in North Holland and meet the 29-year-old club captain’s mother and sister.

Also introduced is Ron’s first football coach who guided the player through his early years at boys team VV Apollo 68.
