A reporter introduced forward Timo Werner as Germany’s goalkeeper while interviewing him trackside at the Austrian Grand Prix on Sunday.

The Chelsea star was part of the German Euro 2020 squad which exited the tournament with a 2-0 defeat to England in the Round of 16.

While attending the Formula One event, which took place over 71 laps at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, he featured in one station’s TV coverage.

However he was misrepresented as his national team’s ‘keeper, a position which would make his record of 16 goals in 42 caps extremely impressive.
