The person operating the subtitles during TV coverage of the Women’s World Cup match between France and Brazil felt moved to clean up some rude language from one of the commentators.

Amandine Henry’s extra time winner at the Stade Océane on Sunday took the hosts through to the quarter-finals, where they will play the winners of Spain vs United States.

At one moment during yesterday’s game, a pundit accused Brazil’s Kathellen Sousa of “being a bitch about it” as she limped off following an aerial challenge with Valérie Gauvin.

After a few seconds’ deliberation, the subtitles showed up with the more family-friendly “she’s being dramatic”.
