Sky Sports News presenter Jim White inexplicably reports on a bit of mundane interaction between the Manchester City and Manchester United Twitter accounts in this clip taken from the channel.

White appears to have been given the job of covering the exchange that was initiated after whoever was running the Man City account spelt Jesse Lingard’s surname wrong when quoting manager Pep Guardiola ahead of a clash between the two sides at the Etihad on Thursday night.

Right down to providing details of the “winky-face emoji” used by the Man Utd account, while winking himself, and the Alan Partridge meme that followed in reply, the coverage was thorough although ridiculous.
